Frans & Gert Rondags crossed in the Bolt strain with their old Tom and this gave fireworks

The last days of the fantastic auction of the colony from Frans & Gert Rondags are up. Week after week we were astonished ourselves of the amazing results that were set overhere on both the short distance races, the middle distance races and even on the National races they did superb. We know which kind of top class is present on these lofts and announce with a lot of proudness this topper of an auction. All racing pigeons from 2017 and 2018 that raced in the season of 2020 are in this online auction without keeping a single pigeon for their own breeding loft. Presenting such results week after week is only for the greatest. 

The family Rondags has in Europe, the States and in the far East a long list of references from fanciers that did really well with their pigeons. The best racing pigeons of the past years from this colony will be offered in this unique auction. Frans is very strict in a matter of selection and a pigeon that isn’t good enough for him will never be sold.

From the beginning on always at the top 

With a fantastic past when Frans raced together with his father Laurent, they were the guys to beat on the short distance races. Who doesn’t know super pigeon ‘Tom’ “BE 04-5136212” , a topper that was maybe the best pigeon of Belgium in those days with 16x 1st prize. Now 16 years later, ‘Tom’ is still the red wire trough the colony. He was being crossed in especially with the strain of ‘Sprint’ Albert Marcelis with his 24x 1st prizes, or gold x gold coupled to each other. 

In 2010 they took a restart after the passing away of father Laurent on the current lofts in Limburg. Quiet quickly Frans new that he had to get his old strain back at his friends and especially Paul Huls had a big influence in these new top pigeons. This is also how Frans & Gert got the strain of Leo Heremans, the world famous “Bolt” who was coupled to “Dochter Tom” and out of this couple “BE 12-5164535” Mister Bolt was born. This one grew out to be a superior breeder.

Whether we can make a choice between “Nina” and “Boela”? Difficult. They are both even superb and it is seldom seen that such 2 pigeons are being celebrated in the same year as brother and sister in an Olympiad competition. “Nina” might be next to “Avril” from Jos Thoné the best sprint hen that was ever born in the world. She won in 2019 5th National Ace bird Short Distance KBDB and this year 11th National Ace bird short distance old KBDB 2020. By adding up these 2 seasons she became 3rd National Olympiad bird Cat. A Belgium Olympic Hope 2020. In total she raced even more constant then her brother as in total she wins 8 pure 1st prizes and 23x per 100 without mentioning all the rest. 

Which is even more important for the breeding loft is the result that full brothers and sisters to  “Nina” and “Boela” breed fantastic.
