Kobe & Kato Herbots ( Velm ) - National Ace bird festival

The Limburg village Velm, homebase of Kobe & Kato Herbots together with their father Raf Herbots. They race since 2013 young pigeons with as goal to shine from the beginning of the season till the end of the season, they have to do a lot of kilometers in a few months of time and look together for the modern pigeon that can handle this with the combination in top achievements. A search for ace birds that can get home in all kind of circumstances, that was the goal of the past years and this has given good results by now.

2021 was a difficult year for the youngsters with very heavy races but also then they race really well over here with only few losses on the national races.

This is a cock that arrived thanks to the strategy of this colony. First results and then breeding, the best pigeons were always coupled after the season to the best breeders and this is “Geof” was born. His father won himself the 6th National Bourges against 36,307 youngsters and his mother is a daughter “Super One” who won herself the 44th National Argenton against 19,303 pigeons ( she is also a daughter to super breeder ‘Gaston Jr’ from Bart & Nance Van Oeckel ) who was coupled to “F16”, base breeder from Bart & Nance Van Oeckel.
In the meantime he is already father and grandfather to more than one top pigeon.

The breeding loft is build up with pigeons that are only full brothers, sisters, children to National Ace birds or Olympiad birds. This is how the selection becomes really strict and are building on a future for the coming years. Where also genetics is being used as new criteria to bring in pigeons onto the breeding loft.
