Mathues – Steveninck from Kersbeek – Miskom says goodbye to the pigeon sport

Due to personal health reasons, Christophe Mathues has to leave the pigeon sport. A colony in full build-up, a duo that works very well together and was building their way to success. The collaboration with Benny Steveninck started to bear fruit after he said goodbye to speed in 2020 here in Kersbeek – Miskom. Now there is a less pleasant end to this tandem.

If you look at the sale you see a lot of the line of Benny Steveninck's best pigeons. Some pigeons come 100% from Benny and start with a 2 in the front, but were then obtained as an egg or pushed from Benny himself. The line of "Chipo" - "Chihaut 98" - "Pepchi" - "Crash 99" - ... can of course be found in this top auction. Benny's 2022 season was one to frame and you can see that the results are here too in the short term.

The results are clearly explained with the prizes per 10 pigeons that each pigeon has won. Of course it was also a difficult season for Christophe due to bird flu and the pigeons were not tested for their true value. It is now so, but especially with yearlings and youngsters there are pigeons that were just on their way to participate in national races that have now no longer succeeded.

This top hen became 1st Ace Pigeon All Round 2022, she flew 18 races and classified her 18 times. She wins 2 x 1st and 7 x TOP 3, speaking of a class hen. She is a cross between the pigeons of Benny Steveninck and the “Super Vaaltje” of Stefaan Lambrechts, which appears several times in this sale.

The father of "Tine" is inbred to stock sire "Chipo" and is present in this sale.

This hen was obtained from the tandem Veulemans – Perilleux and won 2 x 1st in 2022. She is a granddaughter of 1st National Bourges against 24,019 pigeons.

Last season there was another ace pigeon title to report, this yearling cock became 1st Ace pigeon middle distance and won 5 x TOP 10. In his blood you can again find the line of "Chipo" from Benny Steveninck.

In the 2022 season, Benny himself "Ting 17" and "Ting 917" flew off the roof. Just like “Otis 818” and “Otis 638”, both pigeons have the same father, namely “Crash 99”. In this sale you can find 1 child of “Crash 99”. A young top talent for everyone's breeding loft.
