Peter Bours from Averbode and his love for the extreme long distance

The colony of Peter Bours from Averbode is not at the top of the Belgian pigeon sport for nothing. Peter has been present in the national championships for years and this was also the case this season. He plays almost all the competitions and also in the long distance and extreme long distance there were new toppers who had a bright future ahead of them. These pigeons are now at the end of their racing career and will continue their good genes in the lofts of the buyers. 

The line of “Kenji” is a common thread through the pigeons of the long distance and extreme long distance. You can find this in almost every pigeon. 

“Kenji” himself was 16th National Narbonne 3,193p and 28th National Agen of 2,932p as a yearling. This made him 1st National Ace Pigeon extreme long distance yearlings KBDB 2016 and Peter has given his confidence to this breeding line.

The mother of “Kenji” gave the first signs of their top family. She won 40th National Valence 6,236p and 42nd National Barcelona 7,693p. Her father is again the basis of Gerd Schotsmans who we introduced yesterday for the shorter flights crossed with De Clercq – Vervaeren and De Smeyter – Restiaen.

After “Kenji” there were of course other top pigeons on the extreme long distance that Peter himself has raced. For example, there was top hen “De Lichte” who won 1st European Ace Pigeon Hens 3 International flights 2021 - 2nd National Ace Pigeon extreme long distance over 3 International flights 2021 - 4th Olympiad Pigeon Cat.E Romania (season 2020-2021). She was bred from a brother of “Kenji” and her mother of wonder hen “Pientje”. Several children from this old stock hen are still in this auction.

The next top pigeon was “De Kogel”, he became 3rd National Ace Pigeon extreme long distance yearlings KBDB 2021 and 4th International Ace Pigeon extreme long distance yearlings 2021.

His father is “De Marseille” who won 41 Int.Nat Marseille at Peter’s and is present in this auction. He has the blood of Remy Speltdoorn x Marcel Aelbrecht via Kristiaan Hennes. When you hold this pigeon in your hands you feel exactly a 4 year old cock. He is still in excellent top condition.
