Once Again 1. Prize, Four Weekends in a Row!
What an incredible run for Team Eijerkamp: once again we win 1. Prize againt 3.810 pigeons, making it four weekends in a row! This morning, four pigeons arrived immediately together at the front, faster than expected. Due to the sudden rise in temperatures, the conditions were extremely tough for the pigeons. It certainly was not an easy race, and getting the entire team home safely is never guaranteed under such heavy circumstances. That makes this result even more special. Our first pigeon was the outstanding hen Bella Luka NL25-1094903. She is out of Octavia and a daughter of Luka Modrić. Bella Luka continues to prove her exceptional class, having already won 5. Bierges, and now adding another top result with 1. Hirson!
Our second pigeon was Burbissa NL25-1094832 and the name says it all. She is bred from Burbon x Alissa, both proven racing pigeons and breeders in our loft. A pedigree filled with quality and performance.
In third place came our experienced Lady Lila NL23-9099854, a direct daughter of Steady Euro. A hen with experience, determination, and the ability to perform when conditions become difficult.
Our fourth arrival was one of our favorites, Zoe Junior NL25-1095564, bred from the exceptional pairing of Zoe andOlympiade Stefaan. Once again, she showed her talent and quality under demanding race conditions.
To clock four pigeons right at the front in such difficult weather conditions gives tremendous satisfaction. We are proud of the team, proud of the pigeons, and grateful for yet another fantastic (but very tough) weekend.
1. 16. 17. 19. 21. 26. 33. etc. against 2.759 pigeons from Chateaudun first Long-Distance 564km.
1st Long Distance Race of the Year Châteaudun Under Tough Conditions
Today marked the first long-distance race of the year from Châteaudun, and the conditions immediately turned into a real challenge for our top pigeons. With the temperatures rising quickly, it became a demanding race where strength, character, and endurance made all the difference.
Leading the team home was a truly impressive hen: Hurricane Indy NL23-9101349. She won the 1. Prize against 2.759 pigeons from 564km. A pigeon that our loft manager Michal always strongly believed in, and today she fully proved why. Hurricane Indy is a daughter of the outstanding breeder Hurricane Hans, a bloodline that continues to deliver exceptional performances.
Michal has already enjoyed great success with daughters from this top breeder before. A perfect example is Hurricane Hannah NL24-8208193, winner of 1. Provincial Ace Pigeon Long Distance Department 8 2025. Once again, the Hurricane line shows its enormous class and consistency at the highest level. What was especially remarkable today was that after Hurricane Indy, the cocks started arriving first in quick succession. Under such heavy and warm conditions, that says a lot about the strength and motivation within the team.
A difficult opening long-distance race, but once again our pigeons showed their quality and fighting spirit. We are proud of this performance and excited for what the rest of the season may bring.

The challenge to race in Belgium was a dream for Oliver. Now with the experienced racing team from Andre Roodhooft Oliver makes a very succesfully start in his first Belgium Season 2026.
Interview with Oliver:
“It was my first time racing National basketing, and it was a really tough race. In November, I moved from Holland to Belgium to race for Team Eijerkamp in Belgium. Two weeks ago, we competed against more than 5,000 pigeons. We didn’t really have a chance with the pigeons going to the coast, but we won what we could win here, 1. Toury Union Antwerpen with Miss Toury against 4,933 pigeons and that was already amazing. I also won 1. 4. and 12. National in the Zone B2 against 3.404 pigeons (Bourges 514km.) Another day, another win!
Racing and winning is my passion. This is exactly why I left my home in Croatia ten years ago to go work for Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp in Brummen. I had a beautiful decade here racing under the name Lotte Eijerkamp. To make the step to Belgium is something I talked about for a long time with Evert-Jan. That he always believed in me and offered everything for me to go to Belgium makes me very proud. I’m very happy that I could compete in this race today because I really wanted to win this one. It was not easy at all, but that’s what makes it worth it.
For the Argenton race in two weeks, my goal is to perform well there too.”
The complete team in the Netherlands is very proud of Oliver doing his very best in Belgium and we want to go visit him as soon as possible.
