Andre Smits lives with his wife Marian in Zundert, the Netherlands. Andre has been an enthusiast to be reckoned with in the department for several years. He sold his colony in 2013 and is making a new start with young pigeons. 2 of these pigeons have now grown into a super couple 12 years later and we introduce them to you here. 

Andre himself owns a construction company and that is why pigeons are still a hobby here and this is pure relaxation. He tries to hold his own among the well-known lofts with a small racing team on flights of 100 to 600 km. Fortunately, he can count on his wife Marian to take care of the pigeons in the morning. 

A super couple “Son Mr.T” x “Mother Sky Dancer”

This couple has already produced several super racers since they got together. 

The father is “NL 13-3357874” Son Mr.T and is a son of Mr.Teletekst. This cock from 2007 was himself the father of 3 different pigeons on Teletekst. They won, among others, 4 NPO Bourges 7,179p - 5 NPO Orléans 8,134p - 9 NPO Ruffec 3,465p and this last racer was also father of 1 Prov Bourges 4,478p. The hen that sat against “Mr.Teletekst” was “Het Goeike”. This one certainly did not steal her name and won 1 Chateauroux 370p – 3 Pommeroeul 1,556p – 4 Mantes 4,165p – 5 NPO Ruffec 6,494p – 5 Argenton 2,500p.

Another son from this super cock from 2007 is “NL 13-3357874”. He bred several super pigeons together with hen “NL 13-3351792”. This hen is a granddaughter of Mr.Teletekst. Or how pure inbreeding is the basis for success here, together with the crossing with the pigeons from Embrechts Theunis, this is a bull's eye.

The following year it was a direct success and Andre won 1 National Ace Pigeon WZHB with “Super Mario”. This pigeon was 100% Leo Heremans via Mario Vergraven and turned out to be the golden move. Crossing these pigeons on the old stock had to become his stock for the coming years.
