Bakker Dolf & Ruud too strong on Chateauroux in Afdeling 7 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th NPO against 2,292 pigeons

Just counted 4 weeks ago we used the same title because then it was bingo on the NPO flight from La Ferte Saint Aubi against 3,493 pigeons. Just like now, victory then was also spiced with a large number of top prizes. And another similarity between the two flights. The winner of La Ferte and last weekend's winner at Chateauroux are the same and we are talking about top hen "Saraly" ("NL22-8307573"), a granddaughter of basic cock "Germiny" x "Nadra" (Koopman) crossed with Chris Hebberecht's "Ike" line.

 

"It may be said" begins Ruud's story "I started the new 2023 season with a lot of question marks. Last year we played the first time at my new location at Zoelen with a small team of yearlings. They did very well. Our youngsters 2022 also stormed home when the season was suddenly done due to an outbreak of bird flu in neighbouring Maurik. We had to watch the last 4 youngster races from the sidelines. What now we thought? How can we select this team? Both my dad and I didn't know and decided to add an extra loft of 9 metres. The pigeons were placed in the new loft in early December and the preparation for the '23 season could begin. 
If we analyse it all now, buying an extra loft was apparently not such a crazy idea because the "inexperienced" yearlings are doing wonderfully well.
