Hermans - Bonne (Loksbergen) won 1st Semi-National Sancoins 7,721 pigeons in 2025

Winning a national race is always very special. For some of us, it's no longer so, but for the Hermans-Bonne colony from Loksbergen in Limburg, it was confirmation that they're on the right track in the extreme middle distance. In 2024, they won 1st National Argenton against 11,177 yearlings and also finished 7th National against 11,177 yearlings in that same race with their top hen "Nina." This top hen, "Nina," had also won 5th National Argenton against 18,837 youngsters.

In 2025, they won 1st prize in the semi-national race from Sancoins with top hen "Beau" against 7,721 pigeons. They also scored highly nationally with the youngsters in Bourges, finishing 16th National against 17,189 youngsters. This hen was another granddaughter of stock sire "Hollander," who is now, and I think will remain, the red line in this colony for several years to come.

Since 2023, they have won four TOP 7 National prizes with either yearlings or young birds. This new approach to racing hens is paying off and will only make them stronger in the coming years.

The base breeder of this colony is "Den Hollander," who comes from Jurgen Reurs and has achieved a fantastic palmares here in Loksbergen. He finished 13th National Ace Pigeon Middle Distance KBDB, but quickly became the common thread (literally) running through this colony in the breeding loft. Not only the color, but everything else brought about a revolution with this new breeding line in the loft. Wim and Roger have been building on this top pigeon for 10 years now, and fortunately for them, crosses with "Hollander" are almost always successful, which puts them completely on the right track.

Unfortunately, "Den Hollander" was stolen, meaning that no recent offspring have been in the breeding loft for the last two years, but there is still more than enough material available to make their mark on the national flights, which will increasingly become their main goal.

This top racer isn't their original pigeon, but rather a descendant of the Noel Petre-Tang Lei colony. This cock excelled from 2021 to 2024, being not only their most consistent pigeon but also a true top racer. He won 9 clear first prizes without doubles and 13 prizes per hundred, not to mention a 94th National Bourges against 7,270 pigeons.

This pigeon has been in the breeding loft since 2025 and will hopefully produce new young top performers in the coming years, just like his sire.

The auction now includes the first child of this fantastic champion, paired to a daughter of base breeder "Den Hollander."

In the 2023 season, Wim and Roger had 2 National Ace Pigeon All Round among the young pigeons. Here you need 5 flights from 100km up to and including the national flights. Both hens “Marie” and “Julie” flew again in 2024 because Wim believes that you should go to battle with the best pigeons.

Her father is a grandson of base breeder “Hollander” and her mother is a direct hen of Stijn Van Laere with which they have been very successful.

This hen became 13th National Ace Pigeon All Round youngsters KBDB 2023 and 27th National Ace Pigeon great middle distance youngsters KBDB 2023.

She won 3 clear first prizes and this year she also won 13 Prov Argenton 1,385p - 56 Prov Gien 4,517p and 81 Prov Sens 9,487p. 

This pairing has produced several top pigeons and is considered one of the best pairs at the Hermans-Bonne family. The brother "093/22" won 1-2-2-3-4-9-… and the new young star "777/25" won two first prizes in the sprint in 2025 as a young bird and is one of the favorites for the coming season.

So she has achieved a very strong record in 2 years. Her father is a direct pigeon from Michel & Gunther Eyletten and her mother is a daughter of base breeder “Hollander”.
