Koopman Gerard – Ermerveen 1-2-4-5-8-10 Sens Afdeling 10 against 4,995 birds

We go back for a few weeks to the race  from Sens on 03/06 in Division 10. When looking at these results, the top performance of world champion Gerard Koopman caught our eye. A double victory and 6 pigeons in the Top-10 of almost 5,000 pigeons! A result like Gerard likes to put on paper. But when we contacted Gerard, we did not get an overjoyed winner on the phone. "This double victory is a pleasure and proves that the condition is more than good but at the same time we must unfortunately conclude that this Sens race can be categorised as a "disaster race". Not only with me but with almost every fancier, almost half of the pigeons are missing. And I can assure you, it hurts and it dominates the feeling of victory. Too many good pigeons are still missing. I really sympathise with all fanciers of the Northern-Netherlands and also with the people of the release committee. They don't do this on purpose either."

"Sifan" : 1st Sens 4,995d.

The winner (NL19-4737726) goes from now on in life with the name "Sifan". This shelled hen won with a lead of 20 minutes and 40 sec on her loftmate. Her father is "Bento". "Bento" is a son of "Bjarne" and a grandson of "De Dromer" (De Rauw-Sablon). "Bento" is a proven breeder because his son "Reinier", a guy who performed super in OLR Million Dollar (South-Africa). "Bento" is a half brother to "Good Aim" (3rd final flight OLR South Africa) and a half brother to "Manimukda" (1st prize final flight Pattaya)The mother of "Sifan" is "Albina". "Albina" is a daughter of "Royal Dream" x "New Hope". "New Hope" is a daughter of foundation mare "Golden Lady" and "New Hope" is also mother of proven pigeons "Bert Junior", "Alawa" and "Believer".
