Lenaerts Jozef from Gorsem wins 1st Provincial Limoges yearlings in Limburg

Gorsem - Lenaerts Jozef and his sons Luc and Carlo achieved an impressive feat by taking the provincial victory among the yearlings in the national flight from Limoges. Their pigeon, BE23-5035606, was the fastest of no fewer than 717 yearlings in the province of Limburg. At national level, this pigeon achieved 10th place against 6,838 yearlings, an achievement of stature.

With a total of 8 pigeons in the basket towards Limoges and 2 pigeons flying in the lead, we can speak of a successful flight for the Lenaerts family.

Care and nutrition: the key to success

Jozef, Carlo and Luc swear by proper care and nutrition for their pigeons. "In terms of nutrition, we mainly use the Versele mixtures such as Gerry-Plus and Champion. The by-products and medical guidance all come from Raf Herbots," Carlo said. "The daily care is mainly done by Luc. The hens are taken care of by me in the evening. Everything is done here in consultation and we still ask the good advice of our father Jozef."
