It might not be common knowledge, but if Maarten Leutenez really had to choose, his heart lies with the young bird competition. Maarten: "Don't ask me why, but something inside me fuels my motivation when the young bird season starts. Not that I'm not committed to the old bird and yearling competition, because we really want to hold our own in that discipline as well."

When you see all this, the question of "how did all this come about" arises, and the answer is short and sweet: thanks to the strong breeding line of "Het Bolleken."
The story of "Het Bolleken" has already been written several times, but the wonderful thing about it all is that, to this day—and fortunately for Eddy and Maarten—this "fairy tale" has not yet ended. "Het Bolleken" won 1st Interprov. Tours 2,257 p. herself, but even more impressive are her breeding credentials. Descendants have won: 1st-1st-2nd-7th-9th-9th-9th-10th-10th-12th-15th-... national prize and 2nd-3rd-3rd-7th-8th-12th-... National Ace Pigeon KBDB! We wonder who in Belgium has such a "breeding gem" in their loft.

We're pleased to introduce you to "White Eye Oscar" x "Eagle Jose."
Stars come and stars go, but the breeding line of national Argenton winner "Oscar" endures. Just like his brother "Oscar," "White Eye Oscar" is a true breeding phenomenon. Paired with "Eagle José" (a half-sister of "Het Bolleken"), they've bred top-class pigeons across several generations.

One of their most famous sons is "New Oscar."

But "New Oscar" wasn't just one of the best pigeons to ever grace the Belgian skies; his value in the breeding loft was also limitless.

One of the very best pigeons to ever grace the Belgian skies is "De Flup" from Herbots Brothers. "De Flup" won 1st National Ace Pigeon Long Distance KBDB – 4 races – old birds and, in just four weeks, won 7th Nat. Souillac 4,827 p. (711km) – 9th Nat. Limoges 7,211 p. (652km) – 9th Nat. Aurillac 5,342 p. (685km) – 9th Nat. Libourne 3,880 p. (784km). The mother of "De Flup" is the original Leutenez hen "B19-4190301." She is an inbred and a granddaughter of "Het Bolleken."

The best old pigeon in Belgium in six national races is "Roucky" of Desmons-Wibaut-Lemoine. And we can also say that the mother of "Roucky" is an original Eddy & Maarten Leutenez hen, namely "B20-4223612" – bred from "Sister Bolleken."

"Eva" won 1st National (z) Argenton 2,160 yearlings in the Famille 3D category. Her mother is an original Leutenez hen – inbred "Limoges" x "Inbred "Het Bolleken").

The sire of the 1st prize Final OLR Guyzhou Hongfeng – China 2023 – is a grandson of "Het Bolleken" x sister "Alaphilippe").

The sire of the 1st prize Peine 1,164 p. and 1st Trebbin 2,850 p. @ lepuch I.K.D. (Poland) is an original Eddy and Maarten Leutenez cock – a half-brother of "Alaphilippe." And in 2025, this fancier will win 2 x 1st Ace Pigeon Club Long Distance. and this with grandchildren of "Oscar"

The 2nd provincial Argenton against 923 yearlings at Van Weyenberghe Christiaan, was born from an inbred hen of "Het Bolleken".

Vervloesem Patrick won 13th National Ace Pigeon KBDB Long Middle Distance Yearlings with his "B22-6155117." His sire is 50% Leutenez (line "Alaphilippe"), and their "B23-6105834" won 1st Provincial Chateauroux against 2,935 pigeons, another pigeon from the same "Alaphilippe" breeding line.

Steveninck Benny owns "Liu" (B24-4136916), a top-notch hen with a palmares of 1st Provincial, 1st National (z), and 21st National Bourges. Her sire is 50% Leutenez (line "Het Bolleken").
And hen "B24-4136982" also boasts impressive results, becoming 5th National Ace Pigeon Long Middle Distance over 8 national races in 2025. Her sire is an original Leutenez pigeon (line "Het Bolleken").

Kaier Charity One Loft Race (CN):
CN24-26-0855538: 1st Ace Pigeon over 2 races 2024 – 7th Final race. Born from a direct Leutenez cock (line: "Golden Tulle" x "Daughter Alaphilippe").

Dobbelaere Philippe wins 22nd National Argenton. The dam is 50% Leutenez.
