Marc Vanonckelen from Halen wins 1st Nat (z) Limoges of 2,575 old with his top hen “Millia”

The first national long distance race of the season was Limoges, this race was moved forward one day in terms of release day due to the bad weather on Saturday. The pigeons were released at 7:00 in the morning and 13,016 pigeons came to Belgium. The first pigeons on the national result can mainly be found in East and West Flanders while the top hen of Marc Vanonckelen delivered a special performance. She won 1st Provincial of 1,306 pigeons and had a 29m/min lead on the 2nd pigeon. She also won 1st Nat (z) of 2,575 old pigeons. This hen also showed her talent last year by winning 1st Provincial Souillac and then she was also the fastest of all pigeons in the province, then she won 8th National.

This hen has plenty of experience and long distance race are her favorite terrain.

For Marc this is already his 2nd provincial victory of the season, 2 weeks ago he also won 1st provincial Gien against 1,685 yearlings.
