Platteau Ante and Tom – Fastest Provincial Winner from Orleans against 5,147 birds

We once called them the “Wizards of Sint-Katherina-Lombeek,” and that was no exaggeration. The Platteau pigeons—whether for speed or middle-distance races—have the instinct to “storm home” firmly embedded in their DNA.

In a few months, we’ll be publishing a detailed feature about the ins and outs of the Platteau colony, but for now, we’d like to shine a spotlight on their provincial victory from Orleans

A total of 5,147 pigeons were released in Orleans, and the fastest of the entire group was the grey hen “B23-2063687.” With an average speed of 1,404.61 m/min, she covered the 361 km effortlessly. It’s not the first time that “687-23” has placed among the top results. Previously, she also achieved (including pooled races):
