Roger Buvens – Sleven win the 2nd National Issoudun 18,176 year birds with a granddaughter “Gouden Koppel”

On the national race out of Issoudun one fancier succeeded to get 2 pigeons within the top 5 National. This was Roger Buvens out of Loksbergen, the national top colony that has been found the past years on a very high level on the greater middle distance races. And again these 2 top pigeons are related to his golden breeding couple who already bred national ace birds and winners. The firs hen is “BE 19-5082647” a yearling hen who already won the 73rd National Argenton and now did even better with a 2nd National Issoudun against 18,176 year birds where they were at the 1st place for a very long time. The 2nd hen is “BE 18-5070757”, this is an old hen who already won last year on Issoudun the 10th provincial and this year a 1st on Soissons against nearly 700 pigeons. Now on Issoudun she showed her class with a 5th National against 10,603 old pigeons. Also she is a granddaughter from the Golden Couple.
With a 2nd National Argenton, 2nd National Chateauroux and again a 2nd National Argenton, this is again a silver medal for Roger and Mariet. Too bad as with a bit more luck this could have been again a first national next to their 1st National Bourges that they won before.

Since 2013 when Roger shined on the national races, this is a couple that always stayed in my mind. What came out of them here and on other lofts is just extra ordinary.
The couple existed out of 5015256/2008 Cock Golden Couple who was himself a top racer with ao. 9 S.Nat Vierzon 3,214b and 11 Nat Bourges 15,508b. Racing early is in his genes and gave as a breeder this onwards to all of his off spring. He is a son "705/06" Uncle National Bourges ( Van Leest - Peeters x Keirsmaeckers ) x "401/06" Blauw Oud strain Roger Buvens.
5194570/2006 Zwartje Hen Golden couple was received as an egg from Romain Schots. She is a daughter to "167/00" Den Orléans who is a top racer on his own with a 1 Prov Orléans ( fastest against 27,000p ) - 8 Prov Argenton 2,990b - 25 Nat Bourges 10,182b - 73 S.Nat Montlucon 7,149b - and 71 S.Nat Chateauroux 12,422b. He became in 2005 1st Semi-National Ace bird Centre & East CFW, he was coupled to "595/04" Het Nationaaltje who won 1st Bourges 482b - 2 Prov 2,732b - 54 Nat 48,553b.
The 2 top hens who won the 2nd and 5th national on Issoudun are both grandchildren to this top coupel, the 3rd pigeon for Roger wins the 42nd national year birds and is a granddaughter to “751” or daughter to again that same Golden couple
