Surinx-Pletsers : For several years now, Hilaire & Nadia belong to the top of the pigeon sport. It all started in 2000 in Nieuwerkerken, when they became 1° National Champion 1° & 2° signed with the young birds on the national races KBDB.
To prove : 1 NAT CHAMP KBDB Young b. 2000 - 10 NAT CHAMP KBDB Young b. 2001 - 7 NAT CHAMP KBDB Young b. 2002 - just super ! During that period, the base was formed by pigeons among which the SOONTJES-hen BE-91-2492342 (direct Herbots Brothers Halle-Booienhoven) daughter of the Jonge Tom 2x1 – brother Rambo, brother Computer I, Pros Roosen. These birds, together with the Jonge Asterix (the most important cock in winning the National title of champion of Belgium). The Jonge Asterix was an exceptional racer and breeders! His bloodline contains the top of Belgium for the heavy middle distance races. His father was a cross-breed NATIONAAL I, Schellens – BOURGES Pair Grondelaers and his mother was daughter of the Asterix (1 NAT Ace MD KBDB and Olympic cock) base STOCES x Clerinx.
Together with the HOUBEN hen (granddaughter of the famous Jonge Artiest), the Jonge Asterix would form the base of the colony.
At the time, this strain was reinforced with the SUPERNATIONAAL, a super breeder “BE-04-5106487, Grijze Supernationaal – via Herbots – super breeder, father of the 3000, 070, the Genaaide, the Jarnac’07, the Jarnac’09 - ... They won : 1 I.Prov. Jarnac 2014 Yrl. - 5 I.Prov. Jarnac 2532 Yrl.

Nevertheless, the colony didn’t sit still !
Hilaire & Nadia, a professional duo in the pigeon sport from the morning till the evening. Every year again, they organise public auctions in Belgium. Hereby, they get thousands of pigeons in their hands and often pigeons of great quality, and when they have the opportunity, they invest in new birds, they’re always looking for better, to reinforce with the very best.
Important here, is that those pigeons are super quality birds, which lay well in the hands, which have super soft feathers, a strong body, good eyes, good muscles, vitality and resistance. Birds with a clever and intelligent head!
In 2012, they also won 1 NAT Ace Young b. MD LCB , 1 Nat Ace of Aces Young b. LCB - Ace LCB 2012 with the BE-12-5149372. They won : 110 Nat Bourges 33524 p - 73 Prov. Orléans 10526 p - 16 Toury 2498 p - 20 La Souterraine 399 p - 29 Argenton 383 p. He came out of the strain Goed koppel Jos (brother Filip Herbots) strain 155, Olympiade x Grondelaers - Stoces x strain Supernationaal.
Always looking for better
The, from 2011 and this every year again, they bought a son or a daughter of the famous YVAN ( 1+4 Nat. Ace KBDB), because with Yvan, we find the origins of the NATIONAAL I back.
In 2012, on a public auction for Dries, they bought the “Golden Driesje BE-08-2169241” of the Herbots family – she had scored at the top with 6 x per 100 : 1 Issoudun (485 km) - 1953 p - 1 Argenton 695 p (538 km) - 32 Zone 7422 p - 1 Argenton 240 p - 2 I.Prov. 1518 p - 4 La Souterraine 1189 p (574 km) - 4 Melun 555 p (300 km) - 18 Orléans 1902 p. Besides she also had golden blood in her veins; her faterh was the famous Blitz - 1 Nat Ace Cup LD 3° World champion MD ’07 of Drappa - (1/9578 - 1/552 - 2/7150 - 2/5431 - 3/7396 -4/805 - 4/4397 - 4/805 - 4/4397 - 5/1500 - 6/5370 - 6/5370 …)
But the BEST reinforcement they did was in winter of 2012, the famous BOONEN , ‘Golden Boonen” BE-06- 8017514 a very talented cock, super intelligent and winner of 13x1 – 18 x per 100. This class bird won in 2012, at the age of 7, 2° In.Provincial Moulins (457 km) !!!! (see picture and pedigree + extra info). In his origins the old strain of the Herbots Brothers, the “Ieverige” old base Stoces x Carlens X old base Houben. In very short time, he became father of not less than 12 different first prize winners, but today, the descendants seem to be even more superior. They notice that the birds can go further too, that they can even score at the top on the races of 600 and 700 km!
A new pigeon arrived at the end of 2019, the famous “Jack” Best short distance racer of Belgium over two years and Golden Ace LCB, moved to the breeding loft in Nieuwerkerken (he won on the pure short distance – without doubles 1/2391 - 1/2000 - 1/897 - 1/822 - 1/734 - /523 - 1/368 - 1/239 - 1/90 - 2/555 - 2/205 - 5/897 - 8/3245 - 34/3787 …) (see picture and pedigree) back to the old base Grondelaers !
