Vandenheede Freddy & Jacques - Kruisem: 1st National Souillac 4,673 old birds - fastest 8,746b.

Freddy and Jacques Vandenheede are doing it again. After winning 2nd national Bourges 24,006b. and 2nd national Limoges 10,653b. it was bingo from Souillac now. 

It was their top favourite "René" (named after the father of Freddy and Jacques) who lived up to his favourites and thus profiles himself as top candidate 1st national ace pigeon Fond KBDB old pigeons because besides winning the 1st national, he has already neatly added the 9th national Tulle 7,853b. and the 10th national Limoges 6,889b. to his record of achievements this season. 

Piquant detail, last season "Rene" also crowned himself 17th national ace KBDB all-round

The beauty of the story is that his father "Liam" (B17-4200195) was flagged off as 1st national ace KBDB all-round in 2020. "Like father like son" is going to be literally applicable here!

A good winter

What unique, rarely seen top results the Vandenheede brothers conjure up. They have become truly unbeatable in long distance racing. The competition is beaten dryly KO. Next winter we will certainly discuss this further, but we would like to highlight the national results from Tulle and Souillac now

And when asked how they explain this top season in Kruisem (Zingem), Freddy answered: "The basic condition and I'm talking about the period before the season went perfectly. During this whole period everything went as desired. I mean, the breeding went very well (few unfertilised eggs, everything went well together, little or no fights, youngsters grew perfectly), there was always a lot of appetite, no problems with "crooked flies", always good training motivation, etc. . If you can then bring an extensive racing team to the start like this, yes ...then you have a good chance of a brilliant season.

The 120-headed widower team was paired around New Year and once the youngsters were weaned, they were on widowhood. No more 2nd pairing. The widowers were reared early but did not go on the races because of the bad weather.

Before Souillac they flew Toury, Vierzon, Bourges national, Limoges national, Cahors (but were brought back), Tulle and Souillac.  

The distances do not matter, but the "flying hours" are counted here. If these are not excessive, they go back the week after.

The condition is in the team and then of course something more can be done.
