Veulemans – Perilleux from Vissenaken win 2 x 1st Semi-National Argenton

In Vissenaken, Flemish Brabant, they're quite used to victories, with multiple provincial, zonal, and national victories. For Veulemans-Perilleux from Vissenaken, this season marks the first time without Toon's father, the late André Veulemans. The current lofts are still located on the family farm and are still in excellent condition. 

Their tally of victories has increased by two more. At Argenton, they scored both 1st Provincial and 1st Semi-National with the old birds, and they won 1st Semi-National with the yearlings. Both pigeons come from their best bloodlines, usually from proven top pigeons themselves. The "Melita" and "Melito" families—their old base crossed with other pigeons from Willem De Bruijn or Ivo Renders—are a key to their success. 

Elsewhere, too, a provincial victory was noted that same weekend: Eddy Claes from Kortenaken won 1st Provincial Argenton with a 50% Veulemans-Perilleux pigeon. This pigeon was auctioned via www.herbots.be and was bred from two national winners won in Vissenaken, demonstrating the winning bloodline that resurfaces here.
