The Albert & Michel Willems colony from Eisden in Limburg again performed very well in the extreme long distance. In total they have already won 20 x 1st Provincial in the extreme long distance and 27 x TOP 10 National. Especially the love for the Spanish classic Barcelona is never far away. Now in the last 2 editions they have discovered another top hen, namely “Rita” who won 3rd and 10th Provincial and is therefore the 10th best pigeon on 2 Barcelona races.

This crack became 2nd National Ace Pigeon Marathon KBDB in 2014 by shining from Barcelona and Perpignan. He won a 7th National Perpignan against 6,872 pigeons and a 42nd National Barcelona against 8,764 pigeons a few weeks earlier. If we look at his pedigree you completely fall back on the old Wijnands & Son pigeons ( Red Simpson and Gimondi ) crossed with Zus Miss Waalre van Hermans / Hoekstra who won 1st National St.Vincent ( fastest of 15,122p ) and 1st NPO Ruffec ( fastest of 3,963 pigeons )

Her father is a son of "Gerda 5000" who is a real top breeding hen. She already became mother of 19th National Barcelona in 2014 and is a granddaughter of "Gerda" 1st Int.Nat Barcelona '96.

The mother of "Rita" comes from Dieter Ballmann and is a double granddaughter of "Champ" 1st Int.Nat Ace pigeon Barcelona 2011-2012 with 9th and 14th National Barcelona.
