Davy and Rudy Morren from Schulen win 1st Provincial Agen against 436 old birds.

Since 2020, Davy and his father Rudy have been racing pigeons together as a team. After Rudy was severely affected by COVID-19 and spent a month in a coma, Davy temporarily took over the care of the pigeons. Following his recovery, they decided to continue racing together, strengthening their shared passion for the sport.

Rudy Morren has been a well-established name in long-distance pigeon racing for many years, particularly in the province of Limburg. His impressive record includes 1st Provincial Montauban (1995), 1st Provincial Marseille (2014), 1st Provincial Narbonne (2019), as well as numerous other top Provincial results, all achieved with a relatively small racing team.

Their success is based on a simple yet highly consistent system: punctual daily training, a balanced diet, sufficient rest, and the use of as little medication as possible. The pigeons receive only what they need, supplemented with minerals, herbal tea, and electrolytes upon their return. The team races on the traditional widowhood system.

For the Agen race, only pigeons that were considered to be in perfect condition were basketed. Despite the extremely demanding weather conditions, they had complete confidence in their team. The exceptional result exceeded even their highest expectations.

The first arrivals originate from proven long-distance bloodlines, including Matterne, Carlens, Thaens, Bungeneers, and Vanlook-Derboven. The 1st Provincial Agen winner, BE-22-5024009, is also a grandson of the 3rd National Marseille 2014.

According to Davy and Rudy Morren, their current success is built on three essential pillars: outstanding bloodlines, excellent care, and the dedication of Team Morren. In recent years, they have also introduced carefully selected new bloodlines to further strengthen their family of pigeons. Their ace pigeon, 'Red Glider', is a perfect example, combining the very best of their own family with carefully selected new blood.

Congratulations from Team Herbots.
