Dennis Veugelers (Nieuwstadt-NL) wins 1st and 2nd NPO Sourdun 2,697 young pigeons

Last Saturday the NPO race from Sourdun for young pigeons was on the program for department 4 in Dutch Limburg. With a strong easterly wind and warm temperatures, this could be a tough flight. Dennis Veugelers is once again in command here with a 1st and 2nd NPO Sourdun of 2,697 young pigeons. Both pigeons were clocked 3 seconds apart and achieved a speed of 1227m/min for a distance of 331km. 

They are having a super season here in Nieuwstadt with 1st + 2nd NPO Issoudun against 1,498 old pigeons, 1st NPO Issoudun of 766 old pigeons, 2nd and 9th NPO Brienne against 5,270 youngsters and so much more.

The 1st pigeon is a hen that was bred from “Brother Olympic Lizzy”, so she is a granddaughter of stock mother “Miss Koopman” and super breeder “Clementine”. Here the crossing is made again with the Verkerk pigeons that always do great in these conditions. 

The 2nd pigeon is a grandson of the 2 best racing pigeons from last season that were already coupled together last year. His mother was also in the racing loft and also won 3rd Provincial Rethel against more than 8,000 pigeons. Now she is the mother of 2nd NPO Sourdun.
