Kristof Dehandschutter wins 1st, 3rd and 4th provincial La Souterraine Flemish-Brabant against 399 old birds

On the national flight from La Souterraine, Kristof Dehandschutter from Vollezele scored heavily. Against 399 provincial old pigeons he took not only 1st prize, but also 3rd and 4th place, nationally this meant a 112th, 368th and 411th place against 4,971 yearlings.

The provincial winner is the hen Emma (BE22-2006740), an old bird with a striking record: 1/293 locally on Châteauroux as a yearling, this season already 18/754 on Montargis and 58/864 on Melun. Her motivation? Kristof suspects that a pairing moment with a yearling hen in the week before basketing gave her just that extra touch.

The third provincial was won by BE22-2006764, which has already operated flights 12/409 and 16/527 on two flights from Bourges this season. The 004, the fourth provincial, had already scored 7/1041 at Montargis and 52/409 locally at Bourges.

The pedigree of winner Emma does not lie: her father is a Ronny & Geert Boschmans type pigeon, while her mother comes from the Jan Pappens type.
