Ludwig Veulemans (Halen) wins 1st Provincial Gien 7,344 old and yearlings

Last season we visited Ludwig Veulemans and his wife Tuy in Halen, Limburg. Ludwig is a fruit grower by profession and without his wife, pigeon racing would be on a much lower level than it is now. The pigeons had done fantastically in 2024, mainly thanks to a round of youngsters that I got from Roger Persoons in 2020. This has really improved my colony considerably.

In 2024 he won 4 provincial victories and now on the first provincial flight of the season Ludwig won the new palm towards Halen. He beat no less than 7,344 old and yearling hens and this with a 2-year-old hen that already has a record that is certainly not bad. Her intention is to prepare the old pigeons for the one-day long-distance flights and that the yearlings first start nationally with Bourges. This weekend they will first fly a provincial flight from Gien again.

Now Ludwig and Tuy took 1st and 7th place against 7,344 pigeons and no less than 36 prizes from 45 pigeons basketed.
