Marcel Buijsse, Oostburg wins 1st and 2nd provincial Fontenay sur Eure against 4735b.

After the win on provincial Morlincourt a few weeks ago against 9657 pigeons now again a yearling brought the victory flowers to Oostburg. Incidentally together with its cousin. Both pigeons flew in hard but with the wind from the north-east, on the front of the loft they had to make a lap of honour before dropping straight onto the antenna. 
They belong to the team of in 30 cocks raced on classical widowhood. Several two-year-olds and older ones are raced on the long distance but this season the emphasis is more on the short and middle distance because there are many yearlings among them that I don't want to do all five long distance races. No hens at basketing, at homecoming of course, but not for too long, a good meal and rest after the race seems essential to me. 
Training once a day, in the morning. Feed before training and again after training. In the evening, feed again, all in the joint feeder on the floor of the loft. Feed is given in portions, but generously. Versele Laga's sport mixes are used as a basic feed together with the Gerry Plus mix and Energy and some candy seed to be used to match the heaviness of the competitions and distances to be flown. 
Many by-products are not for me. Electrolytes in the drinking water on arrival home and for recovery some meals some protein over the feed and of course lots of fresh grit and minerals. That's all those little bodies need to process for me. Some medical checks with the vet, especially before the season and if necessary follow his advice. A course of treatment and vaccinations against paratyphoid after the season, should they catch something in the basket or anywhere else. And a bath every week is standard.

The 10-503 is among others mother of 1st provincial Roye 7456 pigeons, Peronne 1350-2, Peronne 1128-5, Niergnies 5592-1 etc.

"Udo" already flew 1st from Quiévrain against 959 pigeons at the start of this season.
