“Olympic Jan” as one of the most important foundation breeders
Anyone who analyses the pedigrees of the Cleirbaut champions will quickly come to the conclusion that one pigeon appears time and again: “Olympic Jan.” “Olympic Jan”, DV01322-14-524, was himself an outstanding racer. At the Olympiad in Brussels, he became the 1st Olympiad Pigeon for Germany in Category H. His exceptional qualities did not escape Kris’s expert eye, and he purchased the pigeon together with his Chinese friend Zhang Jialin. As it turned out, this was a golden move. In the pedigree of “Olympic Jan”, we find the golden bloodlines of “De Jan”, “Wonderaske” and “Olympiade 003”, all from Leo Heremans. Once installed in the breeding loft at Cleirbaut, he developed into a truly exceptional foundation sire.
