Rigo Lenaers from Vliermaal dominates the last 2 races on Sunday with the big D

Over the past two Sundays, the 2nd series kicked off in Limburg; with Mettet and Chimay, it was once again a race for the true sprinters. We look at the results in the South-East Regional, where Rigo Lenaers first wins the top 8 with the yearlings at Mettet, and the following week he smashes it again with the top 8 against 2,347 old and yearling birds at Chimay. It is striking that the same pigeon wins first prize on both races, and that once again many of these pigeons are descendants of foundation sire “Super 485,” who is a grandson of Leo Heremans’ “Olympiade 003.” Rigo is increasingly making crosses of foreign blood against this super breeding line, and it works remarkably easily.

Rigo has never started off as strongly as he has now, and certainly this group of yearlings, who as young birds were mainly late-hatched youngsters from the 4th series. At that time, they flew 7 sprint races and also won the top 12 regionally last year. It is a magnificent flying team that truly dominates and wants to win. We will not have seen the last of this top colony this year and are certain that fantastic results will follow.
