Roziers-Xiang (Itegem) claims two provincial victories in just two weeks

18 Jul 2025

The Roziers-Xiang tandem from Itegem has once again demonstrated their top-level form in recent weeks on the national long-distance races. In just two weeks, they managed to secure two 1st provincial wins – an impressive achievement that confirms their strength and consistent condition. On both national races from Tulle and Souillac, they delivered top performances, each time with a pigeon from the same powerful bloodline.

Tulle (28/06/2025) – Oklahoma Rock shines

In the national race from Tulle (distance: 655 km), Roziers-Xiang delivered a truly remarkable result among the old birds.

Results:

National (5,912 old birds):
2 – 17 – 280 – 328 – 1124 (5/8)
Zonal (1,343 old birds):
 1 – 2 – 29 – 41 – ...
Provincial (537 old birds):
 1 – 3 – 25 – 32 – 91 – 96 – ...

The winning pigeon was "Oklahoma Rock" (BE23-6025037), who took both the 1st provincial and 1st zonal prize from Tulle. Nationally, he was only beaten by the top pigeon of Bernard Lefebre from Zulte, resulting in an excellent 2nd national place.

"Oklahoma Rock" is no stranger to success. He had already won:
4th provincial Vierzon against 1,370 pigeons
He is a grandson of the legendary pigeon "Oklahoma".

Souillac (12/07/2025) – Tulsa King crowned provincial winner

As if that wasn’t enough, Roziers-Xiang repeated their success two weeks later on the national race from Souillac, this time with yearlings. The 1st provincial victory went to the promising "Tulsa King" (BE24-6106113), once again a grandson "Oklahoma".

Results:

Provincial (416 yearlings):
1 – 3 – 5 – 7 – 16 – 48 – ...
Zonal (673 yearlings):
5 – 10 – 12 – 26 – ...
National (4,234 yearlings):
114 – 214 – 233 – 240 – 368 – ...

"Tulsa King" (BE24-6106113) proved his quality as a long-distance racer but had already shown his versatility earlier with strong results on short and middle-distance races:
2nd Noyon against 489 pigeons
6th Quievrain against 511 pigeons
53rd Prov. Melun against 9,551 pigeons
39th Fay-Aux-Loges against 1,473 pigeons
179th Interprov. Vierzon against 4,728 pigeons
239th Nat. Limoges against 4,869 pigeons
426th Nat. Bourges against 17,189 pigeons

The victory in Souillac confirms his status as a rising star and again highlights the strength of the "Oklahoma" line that forms the backbone of these successes.

The grandsire: BE13-6053068 “Oklahoma”

Both the winners from Tulle and Souillac descend from the well-known "Oklahoma" (BE13-6053068), a pigeon that rose to become one of Belgium's top young birds in 2013. His list of achievements speaks for itself:
1st Ace Pigeon Antwerp Flying Club Young Birds 2013
1st Ace Pigeon LD Union Antwerp Young Birds 2013
Best young bird Belgium over 7 national races (provincial) 2013
1st National Ace Pigeon Young Birds Vanrobaeys-Duivenkrant 2013
2nd Best Young Bird Belgium over 7 national races (national) 2013
3rd, 4th, and 5th Best Young Bird Belgium in various PIPA rankings 2013

Conclusion

Two provincial victories in national races within just 14 days: it’s a rare feat. Thanks to excellent care, sharp loft management, and the exceptional genes of their grandsire "Oklahoma", Roziers-Xiang remains a name to watch at the top of the Belgian long-distance scene.
