On the national race from Sancoins, Denis Sapin was able to triumph in Walloon Zone 2. His top hen “Romane” is once again a gem, just like his other top hens from previous years. The breeding line of the golden pair, and especially the “Romeo” line, is a bullseye. At this moment, this hen is the 5th best old bird over 4 national races and will defend her honor again next week at La Chatre. Denis races with a small team of hens in the national races, and the cocks only fly sprint races. Both sexes are raced on the classic widowhood system.
Last year, it was the wonder hen “Lylou” who won 2nd and 5th National, and she is a direct daughter of super breeder “Romeo,” whereas now “Romane” is a granddaughter of this superstar.
