Theo Weytjens from Zutendaal still has a love for Barcelona

Theo Weytjens from Zutendaal in Limburg is not only a young pigeon specialist, but has also lost his love for Barcelona since the 1990s. Where the focus used to be more on Barcelona than on the youngsters, the roles are now reversed and he only plays this Spanish classic with a smaller team. In his best years he won several pigeons in the top 100 National, the highlight being the 2 toppers that both had “177” at the back as ring numbers. During the period 2015-2019 they raced brilliantly year after year in Barcelona and other extreme long distance races. They became 4th and 5th Primus Inter Pares in 2019 by shining 5 years in a row. The basis of these pigeons came through Harinck Poelmans and Roger Florizoone. This was a real top couple that produced several super racers.
