Veulemans Ludwig (Halen) wins 1st Nat (z) Limoges 919 yearlings

The yearlings of the colony of Ludwig Veulemans from Halen in Limburg got their first chance at the long distance at Limoges. They did not disappoint and won 8 prizes out of 11, including the 1st Provincial against 408 yearlings, with a blue cock that also won 1st in the zone against 919 yearlings. Nationally, he is the only pigeon from the east of the country in the top 10 nationally, which is a top performance.

The yearlings are raced here on classic widowhood and have flown 2 x Bourges nationally as preparation, together with of course a few speed flights in April and middle distance flights in May. The second national flight from Bourges they had to deal with 4 nights in the basket and the pigeons did not come home early enough, Ludwig and Tuy decided to go for a check-up and a problem with the airways was found. That is why they were treated with “yellow powder” from Raymond Ectors and this got the pigeons back on track. There will be enough chances to give them on the long distance so we are curious about more.

The pigeons here usually get Recup and Sport Maxi Top from Anthoons, the last 3 days before basketing for the long distance flights I then use Turbo Extreme from Matador as the last fatty mixture.
