Veulemans – Perilleux from Vissenaken invested in pigeons from Willem de Bruijn, and with great success!

02 Nov 2026

As many of us are likely aware, the pigeons of Willem de Bruijn have, over the years, become highly sought-after specimens in the world of pigeon racing. This did not go unnoticed by the Veulemans–Perilleux loft in Vissenaken; in 2019, they decided to acquire their first pigeons from this top-tier Dutch fancier.

Since then, they have continued to invest in these high-quality bloodlines almost every year. Today, they house no fewer than 14 original Willem de Bruijn pigeons!

This investment has clearly paid off. Much like in various other lofts, the De Bruijn pigeons have provided a significant boost to the quality of the Veulemans–Perilleux colony. They have been instrumental in achieving new top-level results—both through interbreeding and by crossing them with the existing stock, which had already proven its own capability for strong performances.

These investments have focused primarily on the potent bloodlines of "Red Rum," "Murphy’s Law," and "Super James."

Despite the relatively limited number of birds introduced—especially considering that some were only acquired in 2022 and 2023—the progress is already clearly evident. Performances are becoming sharper, and top results are being achieved with increasing frequency. Furthermore, these pigeons have demonstrated their versatility by winning races ranging from distances of around 100 km up to as far as 500 km.

An investment that is clearly proving its worth!

Below, we introduce a few top couples to you

NL 22-8459052 “Hermes” x “NL 20-1495530” Florien

These two pigeons are both original Willem de Bruijn birds, and together they form a particularly compelling combination of two absolute top-tier bloodlines.

"Hermes" is a son of "Super James" paired with "Hermelijn"—the latter being a full sister to "Murphy’s Law." In other words, two of Willem de Bruijn’s strongest bloodlines have been brought together here.

"Florien," for her part, is a granddaughter of no fewer than four superstars from Reeuwijk: "Floris," "Stefanie," "Jacob," and "Gini." Each of these pigeons has proven its class—either through impressive racing performances or by demonstrating exceptional quality in the breeding loft.

This exceptionally strong pairing produced a new top performer in 2025: "875/25." This pigeon managed to secure four clear first-place finishes! While these were achieved over shorter distances, the bird also made its mark on the national stage by taking an impressive 74th place in the National Bourges race against 9,070 pigeons.

Other offspring from this same pair have also distinguished themselves, having already claimed two clear first-place victories.

One thing is clear: for this pairing, the instinct to win is evidently in the blood from a very young age!

NL 22-8459045 “Indigo” x “NL 22-8459110” Seablois

This cock is also a son of "Indiaan," an exceptional racer for Willem de Bruijn himself. That his qualities extend beyond the racing circuit to the breeding loft was proven once again in 2026; that year, "Indiaan" became the grandfather of the winner of the 1st National Issoudun against 7,527 young birds—a victory achieved at the final national race of the season by Kaier Limburg.

The pedigree is equally strong on the dam's side; his mother is a full sister to the world-famous "Murphy’s Law."

The hen "Seablois" is, in turn, the daughter of two proven winners. Both "Seabiscuit" and "Miss Blois" secured 1st National Sector victories, each against a field of more than 10,000 pigeons.

Clearly, a winning instinct runs through these bloodlines!

This powerful pairing produced "BE 26-2026338" in the 2026 season. This young bird made an immediate impact in the final race of the season, clinching a brilliant 1st Provincial Issoudun against 1,446 pigeons—a performance that also earned an impressive 6th National against 7,527 pigeons.

As if that weren't enough, this promising bird also distinguished itself during the season with two other remarkably strong results.

A combination featuring so many proven winners in its lineage, delivering immediate success—it’s hard to ask for anything better!

NL 22-8459046 “Indiana Jones” x NL 19-1667580 “Jeriana”

Both pigeons are original Willem de Bruijn birds, and once again, they represent an exceptionally strong combination of proven racing and breeding qualities.

The cock, "Indiana Jones," is a son of "Indiaan"—who was mentioned earlier in this account—and a full brother to the top breeder "Indigo." This lineage guarantees a pedigree of immense value.

There is also a great deal of quality on the dam's side. The hen, "Jeriana," is a daughter of the top breeder "Jeroen Junior" paired with "Morgiana." The latter distinguished herself by winning an outstanding 3rd National Châteauroux against no fewer than 47,000 pigeons and belongs to the old "Zidane" bloodline.

It soon became clear in Vissenaken that this pairing was far more than just promising. They produced "334/24," a pigeon that made its mark by winning 1st National (zonal) Vierzon against 2,573 birds—an achievement that also secured an impressive 4th National against 16,892 pigeons. As if that weren't impressive enough, this top performer had already claimed two outright first-place victories earlier in its career.

But the story doesn't end there! Both the sire and the dam further demonstrated their breeding worth by producing four additional 1st-prize winners. Other descendants also distinguished themselves remarkably well at the national level, including:

  • 5th National Tulle – 7,813 pigeons
  • 12th National Argenton – 13,988 pigeons
  • 24th National Bourges – 17,163 pigeons
  • 35th National Souillac – 6,085 pigeons

...

An impressive series of performances that once again demonstrates that the investment in Willem de Bruijn bloodlines by Veulemans–Perilleux has paid off exceptionally well—not only in races, but certainly in the breeding loft as well!

NL 21-1751409 “Saturnus” x “NL 22-8459051” Hermitage

The cock "Saturnus" is a son of "Red Rum," the 1st National Ace Pigeon (Young Birds) PIPA 2020. Furthermore, "Red Rum" is a full brother to the renowned super-breeder "Uranus"—a truly impressive pedigree!

The hen "Hermitage" is a daughter of "Super James" paired with "Hermelijn." The latter is a full sister to the world-famous "Murphy’s Law." Once again, two absolute top bloodlines from Willem de Bruijn have been brought together.

The results of their offspring prove that this pairing possesses exceptional qualities. Among the birds produced by this couple are:

  • 1st Soissons against 2,332 pigeons
  • 1st Melun against 1,629 pigeons
  • 5th National La Châtre against 15,447 pigeons

And the story doesn't end there! Both "Saturnus" and "Hermitage" have also demonstrated their exceptional breeding value when paired with other mates. Together, they are the foundation for no fewer than 11 different 1st-prize winners.

It is truly incredible what these pigeons are capable of achieving!

And now, some particularly exciting news for enthusiasts: for the first time, you have the chance to acquire offspring directly from these exceptional, top-tier breeders.

This is a unique opportunity to add 100% authentic Willem de Bruijn pigeons to your own loft. These are not unproven prospects, but birds that have already amply demonstrated their quality—not only in races, but, most importantly, in the breeding loft!

An outstanding opportunity for anyone looking to strategically strengthen their colony with proven, elite bloodlines!
