Argenton national had a participation of 11,557 old birds and the fastest in this category we got to go and admire in Diepenbeek. With an average speed of 1,471.53 m/m, ‘Simon’ (B23-5053042) of Andre Cleeren had no compassion for the competition. You can so feel the Limburg cosiness as we greet these national victors. Despite Andre's health concerns, he follows the ins and outs of their colony very closely and is proud and proud that his wife Maria Panis (sister of known fancier Ludo Panis) looks after the pigeons fanatically. 
All these efforts are now rewarded with a national victory... how grateful pigeon racing can be.

Small but brave

‘Our widowers have been strong all season’ Andre starts his story "several times we scored 12 prizes from 12 pigeons put in. For this season we have a group of 12 old and 12 yearling pigeons. All are played with home partners. If possible, they train twice a day but this is really not a must. 
Besides our widowers, we also have 8 breeding couples that raise 2 rounds of youngsters. Currently, 36 heads still look our direction when we open the door of the youngsters loft.Argenton was the first national flight we basketed this season. We participated with 5 pigeons and ‘Simon’ (named after the grandson) popped home - as if the devil was on his heels - in the direction of the drop and then we had to wait quite a while for the next arrival. Overall, we scored 4 prizes per foursome on the national result.
‘Simon’ is a wringer in the hand. A pigeon as we all really like to see them. His entire palmares can be found further on in the photos.
In terms of care, you are not going to discover many secrets here. Pigeon sport is practised here as in many other places. The feed comes from the Beyers company, where the Galaxy mixtures are preferred, and from a medical point of view, there is full confidence in vet Raf Herbots. Every month they sit in his waiting room and his advice is always strictly followed.
