"Golden Medard"

1st National Cahors 5,226 old birds

Distance: 712km
Velocity: 1,144 m/m

Cahors national has been raced and it was no flight for ‘pancakes’.  Released at 7am, Gino Clicque from Wevelgem clocked his national winner at 17h23. Good for an average speed of 1,144.00 m/m and this for a distance of 712km. Figures that say it all.

No. 10

Gino, daughter Laura and son Jasper gross in national ace pigeon titles, national KBDB championships and national wins. Last year they won the title of 1st National Champion ½ Fond young pigeons and there was an extensive article about this on the Herbots website.

But also in terms of national victories, the Clicque colony scores as one of the best in our country. This national Cahors victory is number 10 on the list ! Few do better.

‘Golden Medard’

‘Last year he was my best yearling’ Gino starts the story about the national Cahors winner "besides a 4th National Brive he was also classified as 28th National ace KBDB Fond yearling. Now you might not believe me but a few days before basketing I saw that he had become gay. He was suddenly very interested in another cock. I didn't want to take any risks and took that other cock away. Was this the motivation to go to extremes on this nevertheless tough Cahors flight? Who knows.

We are glad we witnessed his arrival live. With full force he came flying in but instead of going to the drop-board he sat down very briefly on the roof. Fortunately, he wasted no time and registered smoothly.

The future of ‘Golden Medard’ will most probably take place in Wevelgem. A breeding box has already received an extra polish and the first top hens are ready to be paired. But first we will celebrate this 10th national win properly. If that is no longer possible or allowed..."

Gino, Laura and Jasper...congratulations from the whole Herbots team.
